U are wrong :)
But try example like this to get yout text on display:
Clear Key : rem to clear keyboard cache buffer
Do
K$=Inkey$ : KY=Scancode
if K$<>"' : Exit : EndIf
Loop
If KY=80 : rem F1 pressed
KY=-1:rem very important
Read Text Fsel$("**") : rem ... or give here path to your text file instead Fsel$
EndIf
